GreedFall developer Spiders’ upcoming project Steelrising has an Alpha Test that you can sign up to join before it starts this spring.
The official Steam page links to the playtest registration form, which you must fill out if you want to be able to participate. The blog post there mentions that spots are “limited”, so if you are interested in seeing how the game plays, you will want to jump in as soon as possible.
The electronic game test will take place on Steam in the beginning of March for 7 to 10 days. The form shows that if you are selected, you must sign an NDA and you will be contacted via email. So if you are chosen among the applicants, be careful not to say anything about it online or via social media, as it seems that experiences are not allowed to be communicated to the masses yet.
The official description shows Steelrising as such:
“King Louis XVI’s automatic army terrorizes the people of Paris. Join the revolution as Aegis, fight this period of terror and try to change the course of history!”
There are few extra details yet about the game’s official launch date or what else it will offer. It was first announced during July 2020 during the Nacon Showcase. We know that you will take on the role of a vending machine named Aegis, who also happens to be the bodyguard of Queen Marie Antoinette. These details definitely make it sound like an exciting adventure.
We will follow what comes next for players and further details when they appear for Steelrising.
