Cloud9 streams Becca & # 39; Aspen & # 39; Rukavina claimed that Ellie, the overwatch player in the middle of a major controversy this week after she left a place on a Contenders team due to harassment, may not be a real person.
To make a very long story short, Ellie came out of nowhere with a new Overwatch account and soon managed through the competition enough to get the attention of the Contenders teams.
Shortly after joining the Contenders team Second Wind, the player retired after intense control of his true identity, which someone said would not have happened if Ellie was not a woman.
Esport's insider Rod Breslau wrote on Twitter that "Ellie has said in private messages to teammates in the last hour confirming that she has not been the one playing."

This was discovered after the clip of Aspen revealed the true identity of Ellie.
On the stream, Aspen told his viewers that "Ellie, not Ellie." Instead, she claimed "the whole situation was meant being in a way like a social experiment. "
" Ellie is actually Punisher, and he told me yesterday, "said the streamers to the viewers, referring to the Top 500 player punisherow, who said they were Ellie's boyfriend on Reddit and under streams.
"Yes, Ellie is Punisher, "Aspen repeatedly said. "He did this to be a social experiment, and doesn't expect it to come out of his hand, so it's quite the juice around it."
There was plenty of speculation on Reddit whether it was actually Punisher who played like Ellie, a fact they repeatedly refused.
Punisher must still make some kind of statement about the situation, and whether it was really a "social experiment" of any kind, with nothing coming from Ellie's social since she went down from Second Wind.
So it seems that Ellie's saga is far away, and if it was a "social experiment" by Punisher, he surely ended up with some interesting results.
Not everyone was a fan of Punisher's so-called "social experiment", but given some of the responses from the community:
very cool also that this guy decided he didn't want to handle the backlash to be a woman in play longer so he just had to quit. Where is my opportunity to unsubscribe from misogyny

hi punish im so happy you had a fun time seeing what it is to be a girl playing an online video game for * checking the calendar * about 12 days. glad you can go back to your normal life now and not have to handle any of it anymore. Wish I knew what it felt!
