Witcher 3 Next-Gen & Cyberpunk 2077 source codes are now on torrent sites

In February, CDPR revealed that it was a victim of a targeted cyber attack. As we reported at the time, a hacker group was able to obtain the source code for The Witcher 3, The Witcher 3 Next-Gen, Cyberpunk 2077 and Gwent. And from that point of view, the source codes for The Witcher 3 Next-Gen and Cyberpunk 2077 are already on torrent sites.

As we have already reported, CDPR tried to take down some tweets that linked to Gwent’s source code. At that time, however, only Gwent’s source code was available on torrent sites. This has changed now that all source codes are available.

Now while we do not allow any links to pirated content, we also suggest that you be extremely careful. We are sure that many fake torrents will appear online. If you want to download the source codes, you can do so at your own risk.

7;s continue with a juicy detail. Here is readme from the torrent that contains the source codes.

CDPR source code hacked readme

Fortunately, the hackers will not publicly leak any employee data. Do not misunderstand, I do not say that leaking the source codes of the mentioned games is “fine“. However, it is not as terrible as leaking information about CDPR’s employees.

This large leak has SDKs for all major consoles, including the PS5, Nintendo Switch and Xbox Series X.

Again, we will not share further details on how to get rid of this leak. Comments with links to pirated content will also be deleted (so do not bother to share anything).
