Wireless charging apparently confirmed for Google Pixel 3 XL in new leaked video

One of the things I've missed really since the days of the Nexus setup are wireless charging. It's a simple convenience that Google has neglected on its Pixel setup. Well, Google seems to have heard the call of the user and wireless charging has been confirmed for Pixel 3 XL in a new leaked video …

The best gifts for Android users

Rejected in a Short video on Twitter by @khoroshev The same user who gave us a collection of Pixel 3 XL camcorders this week, we'll see Pixel 3 XL dropped on a wireless charger. The phone itself is the same hardware we've seen floating around for a few weeks now, and when it's put on top of a simple wireless charging puck, the phone starts immediately drawing power.

While the video does not give us any Specifications on Pixel 3 XL's wireless charging features, it seems to us that Google first includes this feature on its next device. Probably this is thanks to a glass of back that has been speculated for a while.

Most interesting, we get a quick look at the animation that comes with wireless charging. When the phone is lost on the charger, a few seconds later, a quick animation will appear on the screen that shows the battery percentage in the center of a circle of dots. It's a pretty simple animation, but it will probably get the message over. This is something we discovered in AOSP code not long ago.

The Google Pixel 3 XL is expected to start over the next couple of months, possibly next to the "Pixel Stand" wireless charging device we saw a few weeks ago.
