Windows 10 finally takes over Windows 7

It has been a long time to come. While other analysts, such as StatCounter, have shown Windows 10 overcoming Windows 7 once, NetMarketShare has consistently shown the new operating system that is lagging far behind the aging tab.

In December, NetMarketShare finally realized that Windows 1

0 took the pole position.

According to their figures, Windows 10 received 1.08 percentage points in that month to give it a 39.22 percent share. In the same time frame, Windows 7 lost a significant 1.99 percentage point at the end of 2018, declining to 36.90 percent.

This means that Windows 10 is now an impressive 2.32 percentage point ahead. It is possible that fortunes in both operating systems may change next month, but it will only be a temporary blip if it does.

Elsewhere, Windows 8.1 went by 0.14 percentage points and now has a share of 4.45 percent. Windows XP, for those who care, has 4.08 percent.
