Where is Xur today? Destiny 2 Xur's Location & Exotics Guide (9-13 November)

Destiny 2 players are still hoping for a new exotic in Thunderlord, which is believed to be a reward for the ongoing, multi-week murder mystery quest that started at the end of the Festival of the Lost. But if you wait three weeks to get your hands on a new exotic, it's only too long to trust Xur, the weird trader and The Nine's waiter who shows up every weekend. As always, he has a handful of Exotics to sell you in exchange for Legendary Shards. Here you will find him and what he is selling right now.

This week you will find Xur on Io. Cross the Giant Scar landing zone and jump on your sparrow and head straight through the Cabal base in the drilling area beyond. Head for the northwest corner of the area and look for a cave near some taken enemies. Inside and to the right, Xur is creeping in the dark.

<p dir= His selection of Exotics, as usual, contains one weapon and one armor for each of the three classes of the Year One collection. The weapon is the Prospector, a grenade thrower you can hold down the trigger to shoot in full automatic mode. When you release the trigger, you can detonate all your launched grenades at once – and they stick to surfaces and put things in fire as well.

Although you can not, the latest Destiny 2 update makes mercy exotic duplicates less likely to drop. The game now stands for Exotics you have in your collection when a new falls randomly in the world, which will reduce the chance of getting an exotic you already own. Duplicates are still possible, but Bungie has also changed things so that dupes are more likely to be armor than weapons, because armor pieces have random advantages, which means there's a potential upside to find something you already have.

The update has also increased the chances of unlocking a task to get another exotic: Malfeasance, a Taken-infused hand cannon. The search line to track it starts when a particular boss, the primary Ascendant server, appears in Gambit matches. Bungie's latest update raised the speed that the waitress brings up in Gambit, which hopefully would mean more Malfeasances for more players.

Xur is here for the weekly reset on November 13, and he will only appear twice before Destiny 2 closes season 4 on November 27, according to a recent blog post. That means your Gambit and Crucible ranger will reset – but at least in the meanwhile you will be able to jump into Iron Banner again from November 13 to try to complete your Spiffy Iron Lord armor kit.
