It has been an exciting week for Destiny 2 players, as it not only marked the start of season 5 with a new update, but we learned about the content of Black Armory and the coming months. The weekend has come, meaning a new visit from the mysterious merchant Xur. He has a lot of exotic items for sale; Here is what he has and where to find.
Finding Xur is no different in the new season than it has been in the last 15 months. This week is Xur on Nessus. Listen to the Watcher's Grave Landing Zone, hop on Sparrow, and head right and left. You will quickly see a giant tree; make the way to the base and climb the branch beyond to find Xur.
Bungie has revealed new Exotics that come to the game, so does Xur's merchandise are more exciting than usual? If you ask that question, you probably know the answer already. There is another slate of Year One Exotics, with one weapon and one armor each for Titans, Warlocks and Hunters.
The weapon is Risk Runner, the fun gun that causes chain lighting for to harm enemies. The hunters get the spins Young Ahamkara's Spine (gives you improved tripmines when it causes injury). Warlocks gets Karnstein Armlet's jaws (close fight kills restore health). And Titans gets the Armamentarium Chest Pancake (giving an extra grenade charge). Yes, that means that both Warlocks and Titans actually have the same items as last week, although years two versions of armor at least have the opportunity to play different benefits.
- Exotic submachine gun – 29 Legendary Shards
- Young Ahamkara's Spine (23) Legendary Shards
- Karnstein Armlets (23) Legendary Shards
- Armamentarium (Exotic Titan Chest Pants) – 23 Legendary Shards
Xur also has Fated Engram for sale, which is expensive but guarantees to decrypt to a Year One Exotic you do not already own.
You have weekly reset Tuesday 4 December to visit Xur. That day is great for the game, as it marks the release of The Black Armory, the first of three extensions that publish as part of the Annual Pass. It introduces the new Exotics, a new Raid, and other new content, but it does not have a new campaign. However, it increases the power level cap to 650 (up from today's 600 max).
