WhatsApp is finally finding out real support for multiple devices

WhatsApp will soon add one of the most requested (and rumored) features: real support for multiple devices. According to The Verge, Said Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg and WhatsApp CEO Will Cathcart WABetaInfo in an interview that up to four devices can be connected to an account without the need for an active internet connection on the main device. All your messages will still have end-to-end encryption, Zuckerberg said.

A public multi-entity beta will be released over the next two months, Cathcart added.

You will also see more privacy-oriented features in upcoming beta releases. You’ll soon have an option to make disappearing messages the default for new calls, and a “show once”

; feature will let recipients only see photos and videos once before they disappear.

The add-ons will not help WhatsApp overcome the gripes that some have with their latest privacy policy. They can make WhatsApp more competitive with other messaging apps that already support connections to multiple devices, and can prevent some users from streaming to secure chat options such as Signal and Telegram.
