What is Warzone’s “unknown feature” Fatal Error? How to fix

Call of Duty: Warzone and Modern Warfare players have been hit by the “unknown feature” Fatal Error code that prevents them from joining a match or even starting the game in some cases.

Warzone’s 80s Action Heroes event officially ended with the June 3 update. This closed the Nakatomi Plaza vault, gave bug fixes and gave a little buff to PPSH-41. However, this update appears to be causing an error code, with players reporting that they cannot participate in matches or even start the game in some cases.

Since the June 3 update, several players have been affected by the “unknown feature”

; Fatal Error code. Players across Xbox, PlayStation and PC are faced with this code either when they start Modern Warfare / Warzone, or when trying to queue in a game – even a private match.

This fatal bug crashes the entire game, preventing users from playing either Modern Warfare or Warzone. One player has reported that single player still works, but with season 3 coming soon and season 4 on the horizon, players will continue to paint to complete Battle Pass.

There have been lots of Reddit posts on the subject since June 3, with many players reporting that they do not have access to the game. Judging by the Reddit posts, it seems to hit new players the hardest, with many being hit by the code in Warzone training mode.
