Warzone’s next update will expire DMR

It will not be long before DMR’s terror period nears its end in Call Of Duty: Warzone. Raven Software announced on Twitter that the next weapon balance update “comes soon” with the overwhelmed rifle hit by the nerfhammer, along with three other weapons that put out too much pain too late: the Type 63 rifle, Mac -10 SMG and double Diamatti- pistols.

Since all Call Of Duty: Black Ops Cold War weapons were folded into Warzone in December, it didn’t take long for players to realize that DMR’s tactical rifle was head and shoulders above the rest. I gave it a try, and my word, it’s something. You think a semi-automatic weapon would be at a disadvantage, but no, pull the trigger fast enough, then you take out some frighteningly fast. And with little recoil and high accuracy to start, it’s no wonder players flock to the case in droves.

Type 63 is basically DMR’s slimmer counterpart; not so good but still very strong. Then there’s the Mac-10, a rectangle that strips – just that strips close up. Not to mention the double Diamatti pistols. They are burning handguns, which require you to point vaguely in the direction of your opponent, quickly click the mouse and bam, it’s a tango down.

It is worth noting that these balance changes are exclusive to Warzone, so these weapons will not be nerfed for Cold War’s multiplayer mode. A strong decision in my books, as they seem fine to me in regular multiplayer, and it seems a bit much to refuel their stats across the board.

Over 30 weapons were trapped in Warzone from the Cold War, so balance problems were almost inevitable, as the Cold War weapons statistics differ from those offered by Warzone and Modern Warfare. Honestly, I’m surprised that several weapons have not been erupted as completely destroyed, who knows what’s going to dominate the meta next.
