The mid-season update for Call of Duty: Warzone is upon us, as Season 4 Reloaded has been officially announced. With new weapons, operators, mode and more – here’s when it’s released and what to expect.
New weapons, new modes, a new kill streak, new cosmetics and a new operator. There are a lot of things coming to Warzone (and Black Ops Cold War) in season 4s Reloaded, mid-season patch.
With a release date locked and general update notes released, players can get ahead of the game and find out what’s coming. Fortunately, we have you covered.
Warzone Season 4 Reloaded new weapons: OTs9 and Mace
OTs 9: SMG (Launch)
A fully automatic SMG that is believed to have great iron visions (for visibility) and easy recoil control, OTs 9 is announced as an immediate competitor for the secondary meta. Devs explains that this pistol shoots faster and harder than Bullfrog, but is limited by the belly sizes.
OTs 9 can get up to around 40 rounds in its magazine, which can be limiting depending on how fast the gun shoots (apparently 100+ RPM faster than the aforementioned Bully). It will be interesting to see how it goes in the meta.
Macee: Melee (In-Season)
Yep, as we had previously heard – a Mace is coming to Warzone. It’s big, it’s slow, and it does a lot of damage when connected.
Warzone season 4 Loaded new carrier: Weaver
Weaver: NATO (in season)
Look at this guy, eye patched and still eager for action. Strike leader Grigori Weaver is a NATO operator, and he enjoys playing both sides of the Cold War. Hopefully he can help you play less and kill more in Verdansk.
Warzone season 4 Load new modes: payload, Blueprint Blitz
It is the first Warzone goal-based mode of all time. As shown by World War II war mode, Payload gets two teams of 20 to move vehicles to do something with satellite parts and “crucial intelligence.”
Finally, an attack team escorts vehicles through Checkpoints and wins the game if they do so within a certain time. Defenders win if they can stop the attacker from doing so, either by killing them or by buying obstacles to get in the way. Like looting, you fall in with your load already, and there are Killstreaks galore.
New Event Type: Blueprint Blitz (In-Season)
Another new mode and one that cosmetic enthusiasts should love. Blueprint Blitz will be an occasional event that provides a number of special Contraband contracts after players have completed two regular contracts. These will allow players to unlock weapon drawings from previous seasons that they had missed.
Warzone Season 4 Reloaded new Killstreak: Sentry Gun
Forget the shield tower from the previous Warzone, this time devs use something that is legitimately useful. Like Sentry Turret in multiplayer, we’re talking about an automated, beefy gun that takes out enemies in its 180-degree radius.
Sentry Turret will last a full minute and can be found very rarely through Red Door supply boxes.
