Warzone quietly adds new Bombardment killstreak, Foresight returns • Eurogamer.net

Call of Duty: Warzone added a potentially powerful new kill streak with tomorrow’s huge update.

Bombardment is retrieved from the newly unlocked containment monitoring stations located throughout the map.

This new kill streak is listed in the Containment Monitor station menu under the Containment Protocol category, and requires a key to unlock. This allows you to summon a rocket drive over areas affected by the zombie outbreak.

To get the key, you must first activate the data terminal in an outbreak area on the map. This starts the zombie event. Kill all the zombies and you get a yellow access card as a drop. You use this to open the nearby yellow supply box, which contains the Protocol Access card. This is used to unlock bombardment from an enclosure monitor.

Based on game footage from Bombardment in action, this missile voltage lasts around 50 seconds – and is quite devastating. I can imagine a situation where Bombardment cleans up in a final circle if it happens to end up in one of the zombie outbreak areas.

Meanwhile, the Containment Monitor stations also facilitate the return of the Foresight equipment. This $ 20k item lets you see how the circuits will play out for the entire game – and can be quite powerful in the hands of a group.

Bombardment and foresight were not revealed as part of Warzone patch notes developer Raven published overnight, for one reason or another. Maybe Raven wanted players to discover for themselves.

Eurogamer News: Does Sony have a responsibility to preserve gaming history?

When we talk about the note notes, they are quite thin. The players had hoped for a meta-shaking weapon balance pass, but it has not happened.

The highlight is a nerve to AUG, considered one of the most effective weapons in the Warzone. According to the patch notes, AUG’s base feature size has increased, so it should be more difficult to control.

Elsewhere, there are a handful of changes to attachments:

  • The suppressor snout now shows the hiding of the nose flash like a pro.
  • The Cavalry Lancer barrel now increases the damage to the vehicles.
  • Smooth zoom / variable zoom range will now be mounted correctly on vertical walls.
  • Resolved some ADS launch animation issues in scope.
  • Fixed a bug where some cold war barrels did not have the intended effects.

Note also: armor should now spawn consistently as land exchange across all battles.

Of course, Warzone is building up to a catastrophic nuclear event. Everything leads to a 1980s update of Verdansk.
