Call of Duty: Warzone players request that a shooting range be added so that weapons and their accessories can be tested before being loaded into a game.
Although we would like to see the classic map firing range in Black Ops Cold War and Warzone, players will see a literal shooting range to test weapons. Apex Legends has an incredibly useful shooting range, with all the items on the map available for testing.
While Warzone players can fully customize their weapons with the detailed Gunsmith system, there is no way to know how it works until you include it in a game.
Before they were discovered by well-known weapon testers JGOD and TrueGameData, many of the Cold War weapon attachment descriptions were incorrect in Warzone. Because of this, players built their weapons completely incorrectly without realizing it.
There is nothing worse than getting into Verdansk, getting charged and realizing that the weapon you have built is useless. Most players load a game of looting to test their weapons, but this is incredibly time consuming.
In a Reddit post that quickly took hold, user ‘Lifeesstwange’ Warzone devs asked “can we get a shooting range?”
“I do not care what it looks like, it could be a wall with a number of dimensions on it,” they explained. “Simple is better. But it would be nice to have a mode that can be started from the load / weapon screen where you can only shoot a few clips. ”
Previous Call of Duty games, such as WWII, featured a shooting range that was incredibly well received by the community. Warzone’s weapon creation is far more detailed, so players will get even more use of the system.
Modern Warfare already has a shooting range built for Trials game mode, so if Raven Software wanted to add one in, the site is there waiting to be included.
Another benefit of the added shooting range is that content creators would have a much easier time testing weapons. Currently, they have to stand in line in a game of looting to test weapons and details about weapons. Their jobs would be made much easier, which in turn would be a great benefit to society.
Warzone players expect a major in-game event that could lead to a new Warzone map, so perhaps this much-sought-after feature will come in season 2 or beyond.
