Warzone player does not find released Modern Warfare pistol in the game • Eurogamer.net

A Call of Duty: Warzone player was surprised this week to find and play with an unreleased Modern Warfare pistol.

Redditor RestlessGoats uploaded a clip below showing the Sykov pistol in Warzone.

I was able to access the new unreleased Sykov drawing using weapon drops in Plunder from r / CODWarzone

RestlessGoats said they got the unreleased Sykov drawing using the weapon drop upgrade in looting mode. Sykov is not currently officially in Warzone. It is not a pistol you can unlock for use in a load, and under normal circumstances is not part of the current looting table.

However, Sykov is currently available for use in Modern Warfare via Survival mode (the mode that was controversially a timed PlayStation exclusive at the launch of Infinity Wards shooter).

The availability in Survival mode, but not the multiplayer of Modern Warfare, has been known for some time now – and players have leveled it in anticipation of the wider release. But this is the first time we’re seen it appear in Warzone.

This plan RestlessGoats found is fully automatic, indicating that an automatic fire mode will be available for the gun when it starts properly.

In survival mode, Sykov can be modified to have 80 rounds, become fully automatic and become double-sided via the Akimbo benefits, which is definitely a scary thought for Warzone – if these attachments are transmitted in the same way (let’s not forget the horror of the double Diamattis back in December).

Sykov is not the only new weapon player who expects to hit Warzone at some point in the near future. The CX-9 submachine gun is another weapon available in Modern Warfare’s Survival mode, but not yet released in multiplayer.

Players had believed the appearance of Sykov and CX-9 in Modern Warfare’s Survival mode signaled that new weapons would be coming to Modern Warfare multiplayer in the near future – despite the game being left by Activision in favor of Black Ops Cold War. Fingers crossed!
