Capcom is remastered samurai classic "Onimusha: Warlords", announced it on its official blog on Tuesday.
The action game was first released on PlayStation 2 in 2001. Set in feudal Japan, it tells the story of Honorable Samurai Samanosuke Akechi and Ninja Kaede, who are looking to save a princess from demons. It was well received by critics, who praised their sword-based gameplay and storytelling. It sold over two million copies worldwide.

In addition, Capcom said that it adds a new screen scrolling feature to the widescreen display. This makes the background scroll up and down according to the player's motion, showing areas that can not be displayed fully from specific positions.
Other new features include analog stick support for player movement, a simple mode unlocked from the start of game, a whole new audio track and Japanese voices.
"Onimusha: Warlords" launches January 15th on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch. Physical and digital copies will be available in North America for PS4 and Xbox One, while Nintendo Switch and PC will only be digital. The game will only be digital in Europe.
