Today, Digital Extremes announced during TennoCon 2021 that the popular online shooter Warframe will get full cross-play and cross-save support later this year, so ninjas in place can take their characters across PC, Switch, PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X / S and Xbox One seamlessly.
The big news, revealed at the top of the live broadcast, was it Warframe will finally be fulfilled, cross-save and cross-play support, something fans have been asking for for years. In a press release, Digital Extremes explained the decision to add these features to the eight-year-old shooter.
“Society is incredibly important to us,” said Sheldon Carter, CEO of Digital Extremes. Opening cross-play and cross-save is just one of many more efforts we are making to bring more players together, including expansion Warframe’s fast, fluid combat experience to other global gaming platforms. ”

During the TennoLive video stream, Digital Extremes also bothered that a version of Warframe is currently in development for mobile devices as well. No further details about this gate were shared at the event.
Devs showed a little gaming experience living on the creek shows how people on Switch, PlayStation, Xbox, PC and mobile can easily group and play together in all previously released Warframe contents.
Digital Extremes explained that this was the most sought after feature of the community in the long run, and the team was happy to finally show it off.
Warframe’s The next big, free update, The New War, was unveiled today during this event. Digital Extremes showed off the gameplay of the new update. No specific date was given for when this next update, which puts players against a big, bad enemy known as Sentients, will be released. The current release window is later this year.
