On the recent X018 event, Microsoft revealed a new IP inspired by ancient sci-fi and more games from the Immersive Sim subway generation. Coming from developers behind System Shock and BioShock, Void Bastards gives you the role of one of many captives aboard Void Ark, which is in a hostile interstellar zone called the Sargasso Nebula. Named as a strategy shooter, Void Bastards combines traditional shooting with roguelike mechanics, where the death of one character will be the start of another person's journey.
Released by Humble Bundle and released for PC and Xbox One Void Bastards focuses on the exploration of the Sargasso nebula and survives the dangers of outer space. After selecting your grade, you will map your course in the enemy nebula, explore many derived space stations and alien worlds. During the journey, you will get new weapons and abilities that will help you survive the many threats you face in the room.

With a strong roguelike influence, Void Bastards also places the focus on players deciding where to go next. While somewhere in the nebula can have minimal risk and high rewards, an external space station can lead to some judgment for your grade, cost you precious resources and the life of your chosen character.
It was also revealed that Void Bastards would be available on Xbox One Game Pass at launch. During the XO18 live stream, Microsoft revealed 16 games coming to their Game Pass program, which includes Hellblade: Senua's victim and PUBG.
