Valorant leak reveals Agent 14’s abilities, official “Yoru” name

Cosmetics in Valorant are plentiful, and they only get better the more Radianite Points (RP) you put into them. Smoothing out weapons can be difficult, but there are some ways to speed up the process of starting to style your arsenal.

Riot is constantly adding different and unexpected skin collections to Valorant. As premium as they are, a pocket full of RP can actually take your gun rails to another level of polishing.

Unfortunately, there are only a few ways to get RP in Valorant. As such, the search for the coveted currency to buy Valorant Points (VP) directly or paint through Battle Pass in each law to maximize your earnings.

To really get the math straightened out about how much RP you need to quickly level a gun, you need to know how much it takes to complete one weapon completely. That̵

7;s where we come in!

Some weapon skins in Valorant can be upgraded to make them look completely different.

Why do I want to level my weapons?

When you pump RP into a single gun, you begin to unlock exotic effects for the skins you have already purchased, effectively giving your weapons even more style.

Finishers, variants and even special animations are available for some weapon collections in Valorant that blow the standard style out of the water.

They are a great way to bend your enemies, as well as show how dedicated you are to living the Valorant lifestyle.

How do I level my weapons?

To start the smoothing process, navigate to the top of Valorant’s main menu to the ‘Collection’ tab. You get to see all your weapons laid out.

Unfortunately, not all weapons can level up, but you can easily check which ones do by cycling through the cosmetics and see which ones have a panel to earn RP for upgrades.

Level 1 is the base skin, and from there you have the opportunity to use 10 RP to go to VFX at level 2, an animation at level 3 and finally the finisher at level 4, before unlocking the color variants.

You can use RP on some Valorant collections to give them more flair.

How much RP is needed to upgrade Valorant weapons?

Each level for a gun costs a steady 10 RP. The base level will give you a simple VFX upgrade that will refurbish your weapon skin and unlock the next level above it.

The second and third levels give you animations and a finisher, bringing the total cost of leveling the gun to 30 RP. But when you reach this stage, if the skin in question has color variations, you get the chance to buy one of them for 15 RP per piece.

If we add it all up, each weapon in Valorant takes 30 RP to level completely, but 75 RP in total if we also want to include the three different variants.

How to increase RP: Buy VP

Let’s get the ugly truth out of the way: If you want to upgrade your weapons quickly, you’ll have to spend some money on Valorant. The conversion distribution for VP and RP is:

  • 1600VP for 20 RP
  • 2800 VP for 40 RP
  • 4800 VP for 80 RP

It currently takes about $ 20 USD to get 2050 VP, which gives you barely enough to convert it to 20 RP, also known as two gun levels or a color variant.

If we continue to climb the ladder, this means you will need to purchase a $ 20 and $ 10 USD pack of VP to barely get 40 RP, leaving you with approximately 35 RP missing before completing a single gun.

You can convert VP to RP that can be used to quickly upgrade Valorant weapon skins.

How to increase RP: Battlepass

Buying your RP is not a fun option, so a “cheaper” way would be to paint through Battle Pass which costs 1000 VP, or $ 10 USD. Then the long paint begins to complete your development throughout the season.

Once you have packed Battle Pass, you should have 150 RP to play with. Going back to our previous calculations, that means you can quickly level up two different weapons all the way through.

Since Riot has only introduced premium cosmetics for weapons and not agents or other accessories, anything you can do to level your weapons collection.

While there is plenty of room for improvement in the system to assign more RP in Valorant in general, sharpening your Battle Pass and getting the most out of your currencies will help you level your arsenal along the way.

So these are the two most important ways to quickly level up your weapons. While the first may just be an option for the big spenders, the second is a very easy way to get yourself amazing new cosmetic products. Not only that, it means you get to play more Valorant, and what could be wrong with that?
