PHOENIX – After more than a decade of construction, a unique desert oasis property is finally for sale in Scottsdale with a price tag of $ 10 million.
The more than 7,000-square-foot property, known as “The House of Doors,” sits on more than an acre of Scottsdale’s Desert Mountain community and is described as habitable art.
“The concept was very early a solid form that was blown open to let in light and air while remaining secluded and calm,”
The farm – which took 12 years to build – has a glass door that opens to a central courtyard with a landscape filled with native desert vegetation and sketched with glass walls.
The great room is surrounded by four pivoting glass walls, with panoramic views of the valley and the sunset Arizona is famous for.
A 65-foot glass floor bridge leads to two guest suites, each with its own texture and history, according to the release.
The yard has three bedrooms, three full baths, three half baths, a swivel shower enclosure that opens to a private patio with a fireplace and a sunken bench, as well as a gourmet kitchen in stainless steel with a butler’s pantry.
Other facilities include a media room, powder room, wine cellar, an audiovisual room, a fitness room, a spa with built-in glass lounge chair, a library and a breakfast / wet bar.
“This home is an architectural masterpiece, and a piece of vibrant art inspired by the Sonoran Desert,” said agent Daniel Wolski of Russ Lyon Sotheby’s International Realty in the release.
“Coined” The Desert Courtyard House “and” The House of Doors “, this property, with all its artistic details, is designed for quiet Sonoran solitude for a few, but will accommodate memorable desert extravaganzas with enchanting experiences for many.”
The construction process for the estate included affected soil, steel, glass and stone, according to the publication.
