Ubisoft has delayed its upcoming remake of Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time for an indefinite time. The publisher announced the delay on Twitter and said that it needed extra time to improve the final product.
“Since the announcement Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake in september we saw an outflow of feedback from you on this beloved series, ”said Ubisoft in a statement attributed to the development team. “It is your passion and support that drives our development teams to make the best game possible. That said, we’ve made the decision to change the release for Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake to a later date. This extra development time will enable our teams to deliver a new recording that feels fresh and at the same time be true to the original.
“We understand that the update may come as a surprise and we will continue to keep you updated on the progress of Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake. In the meantime, we would like to thank you all for your continuous support. ”

Ubisoft’s remake of the restart of the Prince of Persia series promises improved graphics, modern controls and new character models, as well as improved voices, sounds, parkour animations and soundtracks. It’s built for PlayStation 4, Windows PC and Xbox One.
The Prince of Persia series, which dates to 1989, has not seen a new entry since the 2008s Prince of Persia on PlayStation 3, Windows PC and Xbox 360. The Sands of Time was originally released in late 2003 on Game Boy Advance, GameCube, PC, PlayStation 2 and Xbox.
