Two legendary Pokemon have returned to Pokemon Go for a very limited time. Niantic has collected tire samples from Pokemon Gold and Silver, Ho-Oh and Lugia, back to the mobile game as part of a special Raid weekend event, which started Friday 14th. December at 13:00 PT / 4 PM ET.
Throughout the weekend, players can meet the two Johto Legendaries again as Raid Battles at the Gyms. Besides, Niantic says that shiny variants of the two poker monkeys also want a chance to appear. The legends will be available for Monday 17 December at. 13.00 PT / 4 PM ET.
Ho-Oh and Lugia are not the only legends that appear in Pokemon Go. As part of the December field research, players have another chance to capture Articuno, Zapdos, Moltres, Raikou, Entei or Suicune. Every time they get a breakthrough this month, they will be rewarded with another meeting with one of the six mentioned legends.
However, Pokemon Gos latest Gen 4 Legendary, Cresselia, is set to leave the game soon. The mental Pokemon will only appear in Raid Battles until December 1
Niantic has recently released a new update for Pokemon Go, which introduces the newly announced PvP Trainer Battle system to the game.
