Twitch streamer Annie Fuchsia had the rather unfortunate first day of trying out Amazon’s MMORPG ‘New World’ after being “permanently” banned for an extremely bizarre reason.
New World’s closed beta was launched on July 20, and AnnieFuchsia was among one of the many streamers ready to enter the action.
While the first few moments seemed to go well enough, minus a couple of connection-related hiccups, the streamer seemed to enjoy himself.
That was until she decided to try milking a cow, and for whatever reason, the game decided that this was forbidden.
After finishing milking the cow, a bottle of milk appeared and a screen appeared claiming that she had been given a “permanent ban.” Bad spelling aside, she was completely confused by the decision.
“What ?! It’s not even spelled correctly!” She exclaimed.
The pop-up gave no help in deciding why she had been banned either, simply saying, “Cause: [You have been banned.]”
Annie Fuchsia was under the impression that milking cows was not allowed, but luckily Twitch streamer Asmongold heard about her ban and called her to give some help.
“My talk told me you were banned. I was talking to someone from New World. They look at the power and they said it was an accident, he revealed. “They’re looking at it.”
“Oh, so it’s okay to milk cows ?!” asked the confused Annie.
“Unfortunately,” Asmongold replied jokingly.
“What do you mean, unfortunately? That’s a great thing. That means we can drink milk, ”Annie Fuchsia was quick to respond.
While the problem was actually server-related, the fact that the “ban” happened after she milked a cow was completely ridiculous. Not to mention that the weird spelling seemed like a return to video games from before as the infamous “you are the winner” in the Big Rigs.
Because the game is still in Closed Beta, it’s very likely that the spelling and absurd bans will be resolved, but it was a rather strange first impression of Amazon’s MMO.
