It's time for another Fortnite update, and this week the focus is mainly on explosives. As announced last week, Guided Missile makes a return to the game today, although it does with some big tweaks that keep the power levels at bay. In addition, players can also look forward to a new game mode that uses explosive weapons in high-pitched fashion.
Fortnite Version 5.10 patch notes describes the changes made to Guided Missile. The weapon has been reached in almost every respect, which is good because it was encountered with complaints that it was overtaken on its first release. You will only be able to find the guided rocket in epic and legendary variants, so it can not be anything you meet all that often.
When you find one, Epic says that it wants you to use it more as a scouting tool than an offensive weapon. To bring it in line with that vision, Epic has dropped the speed of the guided missile and its duration of protection. Player and structural damage has also been significantly reduced, so do not expect the new wizard missile to be the terror it used to be.
In addition to returning the guided rocket, there is also a new time-limited game mode to check out. Doubled Fly Explosives, you'll find only explosive weapons in this mode, along with Jetpacks you can count on rage from the sky. In Fly Explosives, Jetpacks you encounter have increased fuel regeneration rate and reduced burn rate, which means you can stay on the sky longer than you normally would. In short, it sounds like a pretty hectic mode.
It's about it for today's update, but it's worth noting that Jetpack and Guided Missile have both been added to playground mode. Slurp Juice, on the other hand, has returned to the game so you will finally benefit from its tweaked skills. This new update is live now, so jump into the game and check it out.
