Xiaomi finally made the Mi 11 Ultra official earlier this week, giving us a full-fledged premium flagship phone. Between the IP68 rating, impressive rear camera setup and large battery, it’s clear that Xiaomi is targeting Samsung, Apple and other $ 1000 gamers with this device.
But what does Android authority readers think of the phone now that it was announced with a price tag of € 1,200 (~ $ 1,408)? We asked readers if the phone was hot or not, and here’s how they voted.
Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra: Hot or Not?
A total of 2589 votes were cast in this poll, and just over 80% of respondents thought that the Mi 11 Ultra was really hot. It’s understandable why people think the phone is a great suggestion. Apart from the above premium features, you also get 67 W wired / wireless charging, the nice secondary rear fender and a premium main fender.
Just under 19% of readers surveyed voted “no” though. Presumably the price tag of € 1,200 drove these users away from the device, although one comment pointed to the presence of a hole hole and another pointed to the weight of the phone.
More Xiaomi coverage: These are the best Xiaomi phones you can buy
We actually ran a poll back in February when the phone first leaked and the pricing was not known. The results at the time showed that 79.4% of the respondents thought the phone was hot, so there is an insignificant increase with the last poll. These latest results suggest that Xiaomi can do a solid job of praising the flagship. It is worth noting that the similarly equipped Galaxy S21 Ultra sells for € 1,249 (~ $ 1,467) in Europe.
Xiaomi is also set to launch the Mi 11 Ultra in India on April 23, and we will definitely be interested to see what kind of price it has in mind for the market.
- Cyco: The hole runs out for me, unfortunately.
- Farhan Ahmad Tajuddin: 8K video resolution for ultrawide and tele-camera sounds tempting, but 8K adoption is still far from broad. So maybe, the Pro variant is more than good enough since it still has the same Samsung ISOCELL GN2 main camera sensor as in the Ultra.
- Hochuha: Too heavy for daily use.
