An upcoming Xbox One game has been unexpectedly canceled two months before its release, and in the process has raised questions about censorship on the platform. This week, developer Inti Creates announced that the Xbox One version of its creepy game, Crazy Gun returns, has been canned for indescribable reasons. In the statement, the developer notes that the development of the game on Xbox One is complete, and the master ROM is currently under evaluation, but after discussions with Microsoft it was decided to not only stop this progress, but throw it away completely, and it is not exactly clear why , but the developer apparently suggests a question of censorship.
According to Inti Creates, it would be “unable to ensure the consistency of experience across all platforms”
“Today we announce that we will no longer release Gal Gun Returns on the Xbox console family,” the statement said. As a remaster of the original Gal Gun, we wanted to strive to stay true to the spirit of the first entry in the Gal Gun series, and while the development of the Xbox version was completed and the master ROM under evaluation, a productive discussion with Microsoft, it became clear that we would not be able to ensure the consistency of experience on all platforms. As a result, we have decided to turn our attention to the Nintendo Switch and PC for the upcoming release of Crazy Gun returns. We understand the disappointment of everyone who looked forward to playing the game on Xbox One, and would like to thank everyone for their continued support. Accept our sincere apologies for this change in the scheduled release. We hope you enjoy the Gal Gun experience on other platforms. We look forward to continuing to work with Microsoft on other PQube releases in the future. “
