You, me and everyone’s grandparents know that Super Nintendo World in Universal Studios Japan will be the most amazing thing in the world. It is out of debate. And we recently covered the opening of the official website for the theme park, which provided further details, such as delicious food park goers will be able to enjoy. However, it seemed that a peculiarity slipped through in the design of the site: A Mario rendering art was used on the Super Nintendo World site.
Twitter user uJidow has pointed out that an old Mario tab art rendered created by the user is being used on the site as part of the loading screen.
I love how Nintendo used MY old ass Mario to render on their official Nintendo World website. https://t.co/mmJhWNi0n1#Nintendo #SuperNintendoWorld pic.twitter.com/Xp8cmfwte9

What probably happened is that the site’s web designer took the picture of Google and assumed that it was official since it is of such high quality. It’s a pretty innocent mistake, all things considered, especially when you consider that there is an official Mario rendition that is almost identical to fan art that was accidentally used for the Super Nintendo World website. Take a look at the fan (left) and official (right) render below.
Ideally, the Super Nintendo World website will be updated to replace fan art with official art. We just have to wait and see.[Source/Via]
