The Razer Kraken Tournament Edition provides THX Spatial Audio surround tech

The dreadful new trio. Glowing, green flying plate sold separately.

Razer

Razer bought THX a little less than two years ago, and the technology finally goes into the company's products; first with its Nommo Chroma speakers and now it's bringing THX position sound capability to its Kraken Tournament Edition headset. Because it's never a good time to be surprised from the back, especially when there is money and fame on the line.

THX Spatial Audio Tracks you meet in a game and adjust the directional sound to match, among other things. Kraken TE builds on the existing Kraken 7.1 V2 headset with THX, which also allows you to adjust the sound balance between games and chat, as well as bass. And the built-in USB audio control box is big enough to prevent fumling when in the zone. It is delivered as standard with cold cushions, optional on Kraken 7.1 V2.

It is divorced for delivery in September for $ 100; It's the same price as Kraken 7.1 V2, so it's likely to cost £ 100 and AU $ 170.

Razer

BlackWidow Elite Mechanical Keyboard inherits wobble reduction, crumb resistant two-wall mechanical switches (green, yellow or orange) from last year's BlackWidow Ultimate, as well as Razer Hypershift (which lets you tie any key as a function switch so you can map Razer Synapse 3 Macros to any key on the keyboard), Digital Dial and Media keys from Huntsman Optomechanical Keyboard and Inside / Sky Memory to store up to five profiles.

It is available now for $ 170; It's the same as the BlackWidow Chroma V2, so it costs £ 170 and AU $ 340.

Mamba! [19659003] Razer

In the end, Razer potentially confuses Mamba Wireless – confusing because the original Mamba was born wirelessly. The new model has significantly improved battery life – it is now rated for 50 hours on a charge, up from 20. There are also grippier side grips on the Tournament version, the same hybrid desktop memory / storage tray for profiles and Adaptive Frequency Technology from Lancehead to optimize connectivity stability.

You can buy it now for $ 100, which is probably £ 100 or AU $ 170.

Update 10:00 ET: Corrected "THX Spatial Surround" to "Room Sound."
