As part of the opening day of Ignite 2021 festivities, Microsoft announced today that the Power Automate Desktop app for Windows 10 is now available, and at no extra cost. And it looks like it will also be included in Windows 10 in a future release.
“Power Automate Desktop is now available at no extra cost, allowing Windows 10 users to harness the power of Low Code Automated Process Automation (RPA),” writes Microsoft’s Steve Clarke. “The technology is available for download and will be included in the Windows Insider Preview build in the coming weeks.”
Power Automate Desktop is a user-friendly, low-code application aimed at both coders and non-coders, and is used to optimize personal and work-based workflows by automating repetitive and time-consuming manual tasks. It can also be seen as a graphical front-end to RPA in Power Automate functionality that Microsoft first announced at Ignite 2019.
You can find Power Automate Desktop on the Microsoft website. And you can learn more here.
