Path of Exile is a game in flux – free-to-play action RPG is constantly revised or reworked in one way or another – last year the main world was doubled in length. Today, Grinding Gear Games has undergone all that is not part of the central quest. The Betrayal league, free and live on the servers, now introduces a new Shadow Of Mordor-ish-web of immortal haunts to haangue. It also replaces Forsaken Masters ̵
There is much on this extension – 8000 words of patch notes with a complete table of contents, even. As with the last three quarterly leagues, a new NPC with its own complex side task is the centerpiece. Jun Ortoi wants you to look up the Immortal Syndicate (a network of annoying unwanted evil) until they reveal who is at the top of the pyramid and revive them. Right from the start of the game, each zone has a syndicate member active in it. Depending on what you choose to do after muting them, they can give you intellect, be awarded or even promoted.
The big difference between this and former leagues is that June does not go after three months. She will join the other last three league NPCs to fully replace the Forsaken Masters. Instead of annoying little page assignments, they will offer meaty optional adventure. Niko will dive into an infinite shadow dungeon, Alva sends you back in time to look up the aztec-like Vaal and Einhar takes you on Pokemon-ish hunts to capture special monsters used in the grisly & # 39; beastcrafting & # 39; rituals. Atlas of Worlds endgame has been flooded a little, including challenges set by these NPCs.
On top of that it is the usual pile of new loot to find, skill jewelery to use and some overall balance adjustments. As the new lawsuits are unrelated to reputation, the hiding system has been reviewed as well. You will discover new hideouts like rare mini-dungeons that you are investigating. Erase them and you will claim them as your own to decorate as you please. The creation system has been streamlined too – now it's done from a table, with multiple recipes unlocked by completing specific challenges, or after Jun has revealed new "blurred" fashion models.
The bet update and new league are now in Path of Exile – it's a big download, weighs in at 8gb on Steam or 4.5 for Grinding Gear's own client. Path of Exile is free to play and available directly from Slipe Gear or at Steam. You can view the full update notes here or a brief feature overview here.
