The Nintendo Switch Joy-Con Drift Hack seems to solve the problem completely

Joy-Con Drift has been one of the biggest problems of the Nintendo Switch era, and it does not seem to be going anywhere, even with a new model of console on the way. Fortunately, it seems that a YouTuber may have discovered a solution to the problem, just by using cardboard! VK’s channel shared a video where a piece of cardboard of one millimeter is applied in a Joy-Con that is experiencing drive problems. From what can be seen in the video, the simple solution completely negates operation from occurring! You will find the solution around a six minute mark in the video at the top of this page.

Joy-Con Drift has been a major source of frustration for players since Switch debuted more than four years ago. Nintendo is aware of the problem, and solves the problem for free, but for those who do not want to submit Joy-Con to get it fixed, this can be an elegant solution. Now it̵

7;s worth noting that I have not personally tried this method, and opening the Joy-Con controller will probably void Nintendo’s warranty. Readers will definitely want this in mind before trying this method for themselves!

For those unfamiliar with Joy-Con Drift, there is a problem where the Joy-Con controller responds as if the user is pushing the control stick, but no actual pressure is applied. As a result, the character in the game “drives” to the side. For those who have not experienced the problem, it is easy to see how this can cause significant frustration for the users!

The Nintendo Switch has been a massive success for Nintendo, and has outsourced its predecessor, offering an impressive library of games. Joy-Con Drift has been an unfortunate note in the history of the console, especially for those who have had to deal with it. Some have even suffered from the problem several times, which has resulted in lawsuits against Nintendo. While it seems like this is the kind of problem that will not go away anytime soon, at least Switch owners have an option that looks pretty easy to pull off!
