to the holidays and can not connect to the eShop to download new games, you are not alone. Nintendo has announced that they are “aware that gamers are experiencing errors when accessing the Nintendo eShop, and are working to resolve the issue as soon as possible.” Nintendo took to Twitter to provide the news and also said “Thanks for understanding, and see our network status page for the latest updates.”
As of this writing, when you go to Nintendo’s network maintenance website, it has a message that players may receive when trying to access the eShop that says, “Unable to connect to the network service. Please try again later. We apologize for any inconvenience. this may result. “
Given that today is Christmas, the cause of these network problems may very well be the many new Nintendo Switch consoles that opened today, or those with gift cards that were trying to buy new games.
As previously mentioned, we will update this article as soon as we hear that the issues have been resolved. Until then, be sure to check out our list of the top 25 Switch games to give you an idea of what you can play this holiday season and beyond.
