The makers of the GorillaPod made a MagSafe tripod mount

Joby has released a MagSafe mount for racks that will simplify the process of attaching an iPhone 12 and any future iPhone models that support MagSafe. The new GripTight attachment allows for quick attachment, so that attachments can hold the phone either with the MagSafe magnet or with a safer alternative that seals well in the edges of the phone like Joby’s previous smartphone attachments. With the latter use case, people may not know that you are partially connected to the GripTight attachment with MagSafe, but at least you know it in your heart.

Available now for $ 23.97 from Joby’s website, this new party features the company̵

7;s range of flexible GorillaPod racks, as well as other racks that support industry standard 1 / 4-20 inch wire. The clamp can rotate 360 degrees so you can switch between portrait and landscape shooting modes.

In addition, the company announced the GripTight MagSafe wall mount that costs $ 14.97. One side attaches to the iPhone 12 via the MagSafe magnet, while the other side has a sticky surface that allows it to be attached to flat, non-porous surfaces, such as glass. Joby says you can restore the stickiness by rinsing it with water.

Support for MagSafe as a means of charging phones has not really taken off in a huge way, but at least several accessory manufacturers such as Joby and OtterBox have developed ways to take advantage of the magnet in each of Apple’s latest iPhones.
