Thursday was a day for Apple news. First, we learned that Apple was going to hold the iPhone launch event on September 12, just like the rumor, a few hours before Apple actually invited the media to attend the press conference. And so marketed images of the iPhone XS that Apple left out in the open, made the way online. The same happened for marketing images showing Apple Watch Series 4.
The leaked iPhone XS image shows the two OLED iPhone X sequences, including 5.8-inch and 6.5-inch models, in a gold version. Apple has painted the stainless steel frame in.
The new iPhones also have a brand new wallpaper, as we just expect from all new iPhone releases. But you do not have to wait for the final version of iOS 12 to get to the new wallpapers since you can download it in the image right away. The people from 9to5Mac who buried these marketing images in the first place also made the background available and you can download it from this post.
There may be more wallpapers that come with iOS 12, but we have to wait for Apple to free up the final building. It would happen after the press event September 12, but before iPhone XS pre-orders kick off (September 14).
It is unclear whether there is any connection between the wallpaper itself and any new iPhone XS feature. 9to5Mac says the wallpaper shows Jupiter, but one reader suggested that we actually look at "thin film disturbances on the surface of a soap bubble" instead of Jupiter, and ask others to ask if it's an indication that the new iPhone will support macro photography.
Your guess is as good as mine, but we expect all new iPhones to deliver new camera dreams. That's what Apple has done with every new iPhone edition. After all, the smartphone is the most used camera out there today.
