March came and went without an Apple event, and now it seems that April can do the same. A new rumor suggests that the iPad Pro may arrive as early as April 12, but without an event or other products.
LeaksApplePro on Twitter, which previously nailed the date for the iPhone 13 event and leaked photos of third-generation AirPods, says that the new iPad Pro will land on Apple.com on Tuesday 13 April with a little more than a press release. It’s a lot different than rumors of a big event last month to bring new AirPods and AirTags along with the new tablet.
Of course, that does not mean that the iPad Pro will not be an excellent update. Apple also launched the iPad Pro in March and March with the new Magic Keyboard along with a renewed MacBook Air via a press release on Apple.comm, iPhone SE in April and new AirPods Max headphones in December.
It is rumored that the new iPad Pro will get several new features, including a mini-LED screen that is brighter and more efficient, Thunderbolt 3, an improved camera and 5G network. It will probably have the same size (11 inches and 12.9 inches) and shape, but get a much faster chip in the A14X.
Michael Simon has been covering Apple since the iPod was iWalk. His obsession with technology goes back to his first PC – the IBM Thinkpad with the lift keyboard to replace the drive. He is still waiting for it to return in style tbh.
