Typhoon Studios and 505 Games unveiled The journey to Savage Planet on The Game Awards 2018 tonight with a trailer that shows some of the title's atmosphere. Although we do not know much about this first-person sci-fi adventure, it seems that it may follow in the footsteps of games like No Man's Sky even at a more built-in level .
Journey to Savage Planet is the Typhoon Games first title, and you play the role of an employee of Kindred Aerospace. The trailer spotlights a video with a Kindred Aerospace employee who utilizes the company's status as "4th Best Interstellar Exploration Company." Unfortunately for you, we hear alarm klaxons calling out which shows why the company may get stuck at 4th best.
When the game begins your ship has crashed on a planet far away from civilization and all you can really do is your job. You must explore the titular world and see if it fits human housing. This means that you need to catalog the local flora and fauna to see if they are fit for human consumption (or if they want to consume people) and try to survive the hard reality of being so far away from home.
