Although September has not started yet, Samsung has already started releasing the security update from September 2021. After releasing it to the Snapdragon version of the Galaxy S20 FE 4G, the South Korean company has rolled it out to the Galaxy S20 FE 5G on various European markets.
The new security update rolls out to the Galaxy S20 FE 5G in Austria, Italy, Luxembourg, the Nordic countries, Poland, Slovenia, Switzerland, the Baltic region and the Czech Republic. It has a firmware version G781
If you are a Galaxy S20 FE 5G user in one of the countries mentioned above, you can check for the new update by navigating to Settings » Software update and click Download and install. Alternatively, you can also download the entire firmware file from the firmware database and flash it manually with a Windows computer.
Samsung had launched the Galaxy S20 FE 5G last year with Android 10-based One UI 2.5. The device received the Android 11-based One UI 3.0 update in December 2020 and the One UI 3.1 update in February 2021.
