When we talk about Italian supercars, the name FV Frangivento will probably not be at the top of your list, but that does not stop the Torino-based carmaker from introducing its latest model, the FV Frangivento Sorpasso.
As a follow-up to the Asfane DieciDieci 1000-hp hypercar and $ 1.6 million Charlotte electric roadster (with a built-in fish tank), the Sorpasso has a distinctive feature. It is available in two flavors, Stradale and GTXX, with the latter buyers given the decision to change the two Xs to the number they choose. How is it for customization?
Apart from that, buyers of both Sorpasso Stradale and GTXX can go into two personal programs called Program Sviluppo and Ego Program for 30 days where they can work side by side with the stylists to design their own car.
Sorpasso Stradale differs from the other with its cleaner and more elegant appearance. It is the show car revealed in these press photos, which comes in Hermes Gray paint. The Sorpasso GTXX, on the other hand, has a two-tone body and has a more aggressive look inspired by GT3 Group cars.
Although not revealed in the press photos, the cabins of both Sorpasso supercars will arrive in Alcantara, in addition to leather processed by the historic Turin-based studio of the Mario Levi Group. It also comes with an optional Avatar Driving Assistant, attached to be an intelligent driver with customizable human features. Developed by Sistemevo, it is said that AI technology has the ability to speak using natural language – as a personal travel companion.
Sorpasso Stradale, which both runs on all fours and is powered by a V10 engine, does not use forced induction to produce 610 naturally sucked horses. The Sorpasso GTXX, on the other hand, is equipped with a compressor to provide 850 horsepower (634 kilowatts), so that it sprints from 0-62 miles per hour (100 kilometers per hour) in 2.9 seconds and drains at 214 mph (345 km / h).
Price was not mentioned in the release, although FV Frangivento said that enthusiasts and collectors have already ordered theirs and will receive the cars by the end of July.
