A new rumor about the release of The Elder Scrolls 6 on PC, Xbox Series X and possibly the PS5 have made rounds to convey words about a huge game change, or at least a game add-on that could fundamentally change the series. It’s almost three years since Bethesda announced The Elder Scrolls 6. Usually a game is already out three years after it was revealed, or at least getting ready for release. This is not the case The Elder Scrolls 6. Not only will it be released anytime soon, but we know nothing about it. In three years, Bethesda has said absolutely zero about the game, at least for the sake of consistency. What we have had are many rumors that archive this means of information.
The latter comes the way to a leak which, despite having an inconsistent overview, gets attention with every claim they make. The last thing they have made is about The Older rollers 6, which they claim will introduce survival mechanics to the series, presumably similar to those in Fallout 76, since it is the same studio. Depending on how deep and important these mechanics are, they can of course prove to be a big game change.
Lekkeren conveys the word about “a new creative system for the implementation and design of new magical spells and abilities”
Unfortunately, the rumor ends. There is no word on a release date or anything super juicy, but this may explain – at least in part – why the game takes so long. Not only is Bethesda working on a new engine, but if it introduces new mechanics and expands to existing ones that will take time, especially if most of the studio is working on Starfield.
All this said, be sure to take everything here with a massive grain of salt. As indicated, the leak in question has a track record that includes both accurate leaks and rumors, as well as inaccurate rumors and leaks.
At the time of publication, Bethesda has not commented on any of the information above, and it probably will not. So far it has not commented on a single rumor that applies The Elder Scrolls 6, and it’s hard to imagine that changing now.
