It’s hard to imagine a life without screens these days … but what about 24 hours? A whole day without social media, email, video games or news.
One company is willing to pay you $ 2400 if you can swing it.
Reviews.org – a company that evaluates products and services designed to make your home smarter – holds a “Digital Detox Challenge”, where lucky participants are paid $ 2400 to go without technology for 24 hours.
Everyone in the United States who is over 1
The challengers chosen by the company will receive a safe to store all of their technology during that day, along with a $ 200 Amazon gift card to help create a “technology-free survival kit.” The challenger will choose a day that works for them within a given two-week period to start screenless 24 hours.
Off-limit technology does not include your microwave, but it does include cell phones, tablets, smartwatches, TVs, game consoles / handheld gaming devices, computers or laptops, smart home devices such as smart speakers or smart vacuum cleaners, and all portable technology.
At the end of the 24-hour period, challengers will submit screen time reports to prove that they did not touch their screens for an entire day.
Do you think you are ready for the challenge? You can apply for the 2021 Digital Detox Challenge at Review.org right here. Applications are open until 15:00 EST on March 26, and challengers will be selected on March 29.
