A few of my reputable colleagues have already tried Ford’s electric SUV, the, with Andrew Krok calling it “pretty darned great.” Of that I have no doubt; Mach-E looks good, and drives well in almost every way. However, it seems that everyone agrees that it does not quite live up to that Mustang moniker from a handling point of view.
Can GT fix it? I’m eager to find out. Performance at the Mach-E base is not lacking, with a 0 to 60 mph time of 5.1 seconds. I’ve seen instrumented tests that fall into the 4-second range, but GT inpromises to bring it down to 3.5 seconds. It is very close to Shelby GT500 territory.
But electric cars are generally incredibly fast. The question for me is how it will handle. Mustangs have traditionally not been known as big corner cutters, but subsequent generations have removed these prerequisites, and both the GT350 and GT500 are excellent fun on the track as well as the strip. Can the Mustang Mach-E also be? I’m looking forward to finding out.

Two-door 2021 Ford Bronco has the Jeep Wrangler in sight

I have certainly not been alone in my enthusiasm for Ford’s Bronco revival, so it’s not surprising that the Blue Oval’s bruise is the vehicle I’m most pumped to drive in 2021. That said, before I saw the Bronco for the first time. , I was simply not prepared to be as excited about this 4×4 as I turned out to be.
I participated in an embargo background well before the Broncos’ audience revealed, and to be honest, I have not been as keen on a new production car of any kind in many years. Do not just dolooks great, it is packed with off-road capability and loaded with thoughtful: “Why did Jeep not already think about it?” touches. As much as I love Wrangler and (I almost bought one last year), Bronco has made Jeeps’ developmental lonesome a bit lazy.
I’m generally a sports car, GT or classic car driver when it comes to my personal vehicle choices, but I’ve been looking at adding a body to the frame to my little collection for some time now. I’ve even seen a lot of classic SUVs to scratch the itch. As it turns out, what I have been waiting for is a new truck that matches the retro-inspired look with modern technology and capabilities. I order a two-door Bronco, and I hope Ford manages to deliver a high-quality launch.

2021 Mercedes-Maybach S-Class raises the limit for luxury car

I’m not just interested in driving the new, I’m concerned with being driven in italso. Every time a new S-Class debuts, it resets the bar that all other luxury dances are considered, and the Maybach variant adds a whole bunch of over-the-top creature comforts that should even make companies like Bentley and Rolls-Royce nervous. .
The new S-Class already has a number of new technologies, including one, an augmented reality head-up screen and one of the best sound systems I have ever heard. Take all that goodness, add 7 inches of legroom to the rear, give me some of the nicest, most comfortable rear seats in the world and make the car’s champagne refrigerator with a few bottles of Veuve Clicquot. Traffic jam ahead? Oh darn, guess I’m taking a nap.
Don’t get me wrong, there are a whole bunch of sports cars I’m eager to drive in 2021, but there’s just something about a huge, ultra-comfortable S-Class that makes me curl up and forget the shit show that was 2020 ever has existed. Bring the new year. I have massaged the legrests.

There are many fancy cars on this list, but you know what? I’m pretty pumped to drive a Honda Civic in 2022. At first glance, the car looks a little sad, and I started to think that the design would be a real bummer when. But I am corrected; this car looks good.
Honda’s mission is clear: a return to the basics and simplicity that made cars timeless. This car looks clean and fresh, and even though we only have a sketch of the interior, it looks excellent. I even look a little offinside, which is good in my book.
Every car on this list will probably be more exciting to drive, but honestly the masses still need good cars. And when the time comes, we will get a new oneand based on this clean design. It has made me even more excited about the future of Honda’s bread and butter license plates.

2021 Lucid Air debuts with 1,080 horsepower Dream Edition

Tesla gets all the attention, but many other companies are working overtime to develop high-end electric cars. Take Lucid Motors, for example. The startup brand’s Air sedan seems to beat the tempo settingright where it hurts. This new four-door car is not only stylish and exclusive, it will also offer shocking performance, and that is why I look forward to experiencing it first hand.
Theis the top model in Lucid’s incipient range, and it’s a doozy, offering a required 1,080 horsepower. There is enough secret sauce to rocket this sedan from a standstill to 60 km / h on an organ encryption for 2.5 seconds. Of course, four-wheel drive is included, in addition to many other exciting features. Expect the Dream Edition to come with a super-premium cabin, a whole bunch of interior screens and finally even level 3 automated driving capability.
The Lucid Air Dream Edition is elegantly designed and shockingly powerful, and also offers impressive driving range. If you can resist doing back-to-back-to-back-to-back-acceleration runs, this version should be able to go 503 miles between charges, although the slightly less fancy Grand Touring model beats it with an expected range of 517 miles. Not too shabby, Lucid, not too shabby.

There is no doubt in my mind that Genesis is putting out the most exciting designs in the automotive industry right now, and the new onescrossover is the best yet. It’s bold, different and simply gorgeous, both inside and out.
The GV70 sounds like it will also be great to drive. It runs on a new rear-wheel drive platform and shares the same engines as the GV80, which means the possibility of a 375 hp twin-turbo V6. Genesis also says that the GV70 will be offered with torque vectors, a diffusion with limited glide and adaptive suspension, and the Sport model provides even more goodies.
And more than any of Genesis’ other models, the GV70 is poised to be the brand’s biggest success, as the compact luxury crossover market is certainly booming. So will the GV70 be a hit and live up to my own personal hype? I’m looking forward to finding out.

2022 Subaru BRZ: Evolutionary changes for a simple sports car

Subaru has been looking at my notes since the updates toline almost perfectly with my mind to improve today’s model. The new look may be a bit too Lexus F for my liking, but I’m looking forward to seeing the rear-wheel drive coupe in person and getting behind the wheel.
The new BRZ gets a nice and moderate torque and horsepower from its 2.4-liter engine with larger displacement, but Subie was careful not to disturb the weight distribution and low mass center by stuffing too much gear under the hood. . And the best news is that the six-speed manual transmission is returning as the preferred transmission of enthusiasts.
The trip has been refined, but Subaru promises that it is as balanced as before. In the meantime, the cabin has updated – but still quite simple – technology in the middle stack and in the instrument cluster where you will find new digital meters. The 2022 BRZ looks like it fixes all the nitpicks of today’s model, while keeping the soul intact for a new generation.

One of my lucky colleagues has, but with a production debut scheduled for mid-2021, I’m incredibly interested in electric pickup.
Not only does the R1T look cool, it packs all sorts of useful features, such as the C-pillar gear tunnel, which makes great use of a pickup’s massive body without a load of mechanical bits underneath. With a footprint equivalent to a Honda Ridgeline, it should also not obliterate the sun on your driveway.
If Rivian keeps the target dates, it will be one of, if not the first electric pickup to hit the market. Considering how stuck-in-the-mud pickup segment may be, Rivian’s first effort will be the time other automakers – legacy or not – measure their own success.

What is my favorite model in the 911 series? Not the bonkers-powerful Turbo, but itfor its pure, track-focused mission. And unlike the previous 991 GT3, the new model will be offered with a manual transmission right from the start, with Porsche’s excellent PDK as an alternative.
Another thing that is amazing is that the GT3 will keep its naturally sucked, flat six-cylinder engine. This means that it retains its linear power supply and sky-high redline along with what will surely be a great exhaust note.
And then there is the improvement management. Instead of the MacPherson suspension suspension that all roads in production 911 have had up to this point, the new GT3 gets a dual setup that will increase IQ in turns. Throw in the aero improvements like the gooseneck’s hind wing, and I’m sure it’s going to be a freaking uprising. I look forward.

Thetakes everything that is great with the R1T and does it better because it looks like a classic Range Rover.
After seeing the interior of the prototype / concept / any version at the LA Auto Show a couple of years ago, I can say that this is also a total dream car for me for everyday use. Everything is practical and seems to be durable and not fussy. Add to that the promised area and the serious off-road chops that are unlikely to get lost in the translation from truck to SUV, and it’s a hell of a lot to be excited about.

I’ve always had one thing forand I’m very keen to see how it will behave with an electrified powertrain. The is a plug-in hybrid that gets 25 miles of all-electric range. I love the idea of being able to save miles for when I’m out on the trail, without having any anxiety on the way home.
Electric power is pretty good for off-road driving, since you have all the instant torque available as soon as you touch the accelerator pedal. However, I am curious about how the electric motors work with two-stage transmission fluid and locking differentials front and rear. It’s a whole new dirt world, you all, and I’m here for it.
The 4xe has Jeep’s 2.0-liter turbocharged, four-cylinder engine, and the total power is 375 hp and a torque of 470 lb-ft. Jeep says that 4xe has already completed the 22-kilometer Rubicon Trail in California on electric power alone, but says it is planning a solar charging station on Rubicon and on selected trails in Moab, Utah.
