Path of Exile is a particular approach to loot-based action-RPG games on both PCs and Xbox One has become increasingly ambitious over the years. With the developers at Grinding Gear Games, you dive into new content that focuses on monster hunting, time travel and even the exciting world of cartography. Every major expansion that introduced new games and league features showed that there are still places for the game that are about to. But now, the creative team behind to play action-RPG is aiming to dig a little deeper by focusing on the dangers and riches hidden in the dark underground.
In the upcoming Delve Extension – launched for release on 31st of August on PC and 3rd of September on Xbox One ̵
Distinguishing in itself from previous content, the azurite mine of Delve expansion is essentially an infinite dungeon. Opens early in Law 1, beginners and veterans can dive into the dungeon and map their progress on the underground map. Using an automated mini-carriage, which gives a light source that keeps the dark at bay, will lead the players through the caves. Along the way you will fight for monsters who wonder in the shadows, all to reveal loot caches and hidden walls that lead to valuable resources. Spread across several parts of an underground network with branch lines and some dead spots, the different areas in the subway range vary from low-level to final field. While a low level character certainly can make progress, they will eventually hit a wall where they must become stronger to overcome the odds.
Finally, you will reach an ending point for a particular path you have chosen, leading to a climatic encounter with some elite enemies. But things do not end there. By going back to past branches you can venture into new areas, go beyond the dark caves of ice caves, and ancient ruins lost time. Despite certain ways that come to a conclusion, there will always be different places to explore created by the game's randomly generated environments. But the deeper you enter the mines, the stronger the darkness.
In addition to the new dungeon and story, Delve Update will also include a set of quality enhancements for Exile. Along with new visual improvements to the early actions in the history campaign – Signal and Lighting update to be more consistent with the latest content – new skills and improvements have been added to existing classes and their various buildings. For example, the new skill Smite for Templar allows players to attack enemies and at the same time buff party partners. Furthermore, you may even be able to come across the ultra rare Timeworn Reliquary Keys, which opens portals to chests that provide unique benefits.
Looking back on the 2013 launch, Exile Road has certainly grown a lot. Developers have stated that the continued growth of the game is due to part of its passionate audience, which continues to increase with each year thanks to its free to gaming model. With the Delve Extension, developers aim to focus more on pure loot-driven games, which will make players meet some unexpected challenges while exploring an unpleasant environment and claustrophobic area.
