CEO of Terraria developers ReLogic says they are tying up the planned Stadia release, after Google deactivated his account without explanation and he has not been able to get it back. Andrew Spinks is tired of them and said publicly “I do not want to be involved in a company that values their customers and partners so little.” God me.
Rankings on lists for a Stadia release of the cracking craft-o-fight sandbox game appeared just a few days ago, and now it’s bound before it was even officially announced.
Andrew Spinks complained on Twitter yesterday that his Google account had been deactivated for over three weeks. “I still have no idea why, and after using all the resources I have to get this resolved, you have done nothing but give me the running time,” he said. So not only has he lost a Gmail address he had used for 15 years, he says, there is also all his data on Google Drive and thousands of dollars of purchases in the Android app store. He is not the happiest:
I have done absolutely nothing to violate your Terms of Service, so I can not take this in any other way than that you decide to burn this bridge. Consider it burnt. #Terraria for @GoogleStadia has been canceled. My company no longer supports any of your platforms in the future.

“I do not want to be involved in a company that values their customers and partners so little,” he concluded. “Doing business with you is a responsibility.” Oof.
Re-Logic elaborated more on the timeline in a statement to Stadia Source. “The impact is significant in nature – and this has been made clear to Google repeatedly,” they said. They also noticed that this does not affect the Android version of Terraria.
Lots of bad news for Stadia lately. Google announced last week that they were closing two development studios they had opened to make Stadia games. Sure, it looks like the last convicted attempt to get the cloud to play rolling, has actually been convicted.
Terraria is one of the best survival games, tell us. The latest, latest update was released on PC in October.
