T-Mobile is talking a big 5G game today, and announces that it is giving everyone who buys in any old phone a free Samsung Galaxy A32 5G. The old phone may be fine, but it may be some phone – the press release even mentions that you can shop in a sidekick, browse phone, anything.
The “free” bit comes after 24 bill credits, so you have to hold on for two years to take advantage of it, and you still have to pay sales tax – but hey, it is nearly free after all.
The carrier also announced that it is upgrading all its customers (including those who were previously on Sprint) who have a limited data plan to an unlimited 5G plan for free.
In addition, T-Mobile Home Internet is launched via 5G today with 30 million qualified homes, making the operator “one of the largest broadband providers in the entire country by service area”
