Hi Google, Are you doing well? A couple of weeks ago you posted a very weird video describing the basic Pixel migration process with a weird collection of meditation images and narrative in ASMR style. Now you are back with this combination phone migration intro to karate video. It feels like someone on the Pixel team really wants to go viral.

This video is much shorter than the previous one, which used its meditation mood to cover the slightly tedious time it takes to transfer settings and files. This fills the place with an Australian karate instructor and teaches the viewer the basics of a martial arts block. Much more invisible is a little around 30 seconds where the hand model connects a Pixel 5 to a banana.

You can certainly see this as an excavation on Apple – it is possible to do this process with Google’s data transfer tool. But since the cable is USB-C at both ends, I think this is more of a fast and dirty attempt at some meme-worthy content. (Which I guess works, since we report it!) The narrator follows up by advising you not to use “1234” as the device code. Thanks, Google.
