Swann has launched Google Assistant voice management via Google Home and Chromecast on its multi-camera surveillance systems.
"Swann is thrilled to make homecurity more seamless for consumers by enabling them to integrate with devices already in their connected home," said Jeremy Stewart, Vice President Global Marketing, Swann.
" With consumers still using more wireless and portable devices and applications every day, it's important that security supports all this activity. "
With simple voice commands like" Ok Google Show me Channel 1
"In Australia, smart adoption has been an important driver of the connected home market and integration with speech assistants is a technology development that we look at in a number of consumer electronics, including home security, says Jeremy. "Some wireless cameras have incorporated speech integration, but Swann is the first to bring this technology to wired multi-camera systems."
To get started, users must download the Swanns HomeSafe View app on the mobile device and pair it with the Google Assistant. Then voice commands are answered via the Google Assistant app or Google Home speaker. From there, the user's Google Chromecast will recognize the commands and stream video from their security cameras to a TV.
