Super Smash Bros. Ultimate 11.0.1 Update Live, Full Patch Notes Released

A new update is now available for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate on the Nintendo Switch. Unfortunately, version 11.0.1 does not offer something as comprehensive for the game, so fans hoping for some extensive fighter changes will have to wait a little longer. Of course, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate so just a very large number of changes to the list, so a minor update will probably be quite welcome for fans of the fighting game. Unlike the previous update, this one makes a change to a lone playable fighter: Wii Fit Trainer. Complete patch notes directly from Nintendo’s website can be found below:

7;s side head had been inadvertently reduced, so this has been adjusted.

The list for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate currently has a large number of fighter jets, so periodic updates like this are required to keep things balanced. It may not seem like a big deal in the big scheme, but this adjustment to the Wii Fit Trainer will bring the warrior closer to where Nintendo and director Masahiro Sakurai need the character to be. Wii Fit Trainer first became a playable fighter in the series with Super Smash Bros. for 3DS / Wii U.

The previous update for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate saw the fourth fighter added from the game’s Fighter’s Pass Vol. 2 DLC: Pyra / Mythra from Xenoblade Chronicles 2. There are only two remaining playlists left as part of the DLC package, and speculation is rife about which characters will join the game next. Fans hope to see characters like Crash Bandicoot, Master Chief and Doom Slayer, but Nintendo has proven that it can be very difficult to predict exactly which warriors will come to the game. Of course, that makes it even more exciting, as some characters have offered some really shocking surprises. It will probably be a few more months before another fighter jet is unveiled, so fans will have plenty of time to continue that speculation!

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is exclusively available on the Nintendo Switch. You can check out all of our previous coverage of the game here.
