The patch is live and very large 27 gigabytes on Steam
An official full-length Dan trailer for season 5 of Street Fighter 5 dropped tonight after the Capcom Pro Tour 2020 season finale ended.
Dan is the first character of season 5 of Street Fighter 5. He is followed by Rose, Oro, Akira and a mysterious 5th character that has not been revealed yet. The student is also a playable character, sort of, in season 5, which has been released today. Eleven is basically another form of random choice.
Dan brings some unique features to this time, with a bare V-Trigger and a number of V-Skill cancels.
The Season 5 update can currently be downloaded on Steam, and weighs in at over 27 gigabytes, and comes with a range of new costumes and features, including the defensive mechanic V-Shift.
This update will also provide a number of balance adjustments, which players are currently exploring in training mode. Some unexpected errors have also occurred for players who have apparently downloaded a partial and not full update to the game.
At the time of writing, the SF5 servers are scheduled to be down for another three and a half hours, and come back online around noon. 1
