Ukrainian developer GSC Game World has released the first video in the engine for its dismal adventure sequel STALKER 2, which is currently under development for Xbox Series X and PC.
STALKER 2 is the official sequel to the story of the 00’s, which began with the 2007’s The shadow of Chernobyl and ended with the 2009s Call of Pripyat. The games are loosely adapted from Boris and Arkady Strugatsky’s sci-fi novel from 1972, Veipiknikwhich tells the story of a fictitious second explosion at the Chernobyl nuclear facilities and its effects on the surrounding cities. The new trailer – which you can check out below with permission from IGN – does not give too much, but fans can rest assured that they will once again be thrown into an irradiated world of misery and mutants, while exploring a dystopia of destruction, meet their other wastelands, and fight the terrible creatures that have created out of this nuclear nightmare.
