Sony's Xperia XZ4 has leaked into an AnTuTu reference, and despite rocking the same Snapdragon 855 chip that we expect in other phones, it's somehow scoring higher than other devices . We are not talking about scoring within the margin of error, either; Sony crushes it by 1
Usually, Snapdragon 855 will score around 360,000 in an AnTuTu reference. It's pretty good and it fits one of the most advanced mobile CPUs available for smartphones. But the Sony Xperia XZ4 managed at 395,721, which is right at 10% better. Perhaps this is just a test unit with an unstable overclocking that won't make it to the production models, maybe Sony is wondering about references to touching some early press, or maybe it's just a bit of madness optimization that will pay dividends with XZ4 performance.
But you cut it, we expect to see XZ4 unveiled very soon, so Sony must reveal what they have been working on. CES 2019 is in a few days, so maybe that is when the curtain is pulled back.
Before this reference, we had heard that the Xperia XZ4 will have a 21: 9 non-display ratio on the display, a triple camera layout and a potential fingerprint scanner in display.
