Outriders is an always-online game that you can play completely solo. Normally you can not pause it even when you are alone. But a smart PC gamer figured out a way to stop the game using the Nivida GPU.
As Dark souls and The division, when playing Outriders, even not alone, you can not stop the game. The only way you can stop playing and have a drink is to find a corner in a quiet part of the map and hide your character. Or wait until the servers fail. But if you have a Nivida GPU, there is a way to stop the game while playing solo. This method was shared by the Reddit user Aced bread.
It’s quite simple: Outriders supports Nivida’s Ansel features, so you pause the action and move the camera around to get some cool screenshots. So if you need to stop on PC and you have the right GPU, just press Alt + F2, and boom, you have stopped the game on pause.
Here is a short video showing this method.
This only works when you play solo. If you have other players in your game, Ansel will still activate, but the action will not stop.
This nice solution makes me wonder if a proper, legitimate pause function can be implemented in the main game. It will give people on the console and those who do not use Nivida GPUs the chance to stop and take a bath on break in the middle of a match.
